Could you please give me some advice on how to approach this question? Thank you.

You may be asked two types of questions:
(a) Evaluate ?
(b) Critically evaluate ?

Evaluate = state the value, usefulness or worth. The emphasis is on value. The limitations / side-effects of a treatment may affect its value, but they are not its value. You should therefore present a judgement of value / worth based on an examination of the evidence.

Critically evaluate = state value, usefulness or worth AND find faults / limitations. Equal emphasis should be given to value / usefulness AND limitations / side-effects / complications

Like any rule, there are exceptions and there are certain limitations / side-effects / complications that may be included when asked to evaluate.

However, if you present value & limitations when asked to evaluate, and the same when asked to critically evaluate then the word ?critically? becomes meaningless.
