A healthy 25 year old woman telephones the maternity assessment unit for advice. She returned from honeymoon 24 hours ago and visited an area where Zika virus transmission is known to occur. She used contraception but will now like to try for a pregnancy. She has not experienced any symptoms of Zika virus disease.
You have stated the answer is to avoid pregnancy for 2 months, however the advice is to avoid pregnancy for 3 months if both partners have travelled and I think it's fair to assume that both partners have travelled considering she has returned from her honeymoon!
