Dear Paul,

A 38 year old woman is seen following an anomaly scan at 20 weeks gestation. The fetus has a choroid plexus cyst. Explain the implications of this finding.

 

 

Since Choroid plexus cyst has been excluded from the soft markers, would you still advice invasive testing if deemed high risk for Trimsomy 18 or 21?
