There\'s a new revised classification of ISSVD published in 2004.
The term VIN 1 is no longer used. There is no evidence that it is a precancer precursor. It is described as flat condyloma lata.
In the new classification, the term VIN refers to previously stated high grade lesion. These are of two types,
1.Usual type....(HPV related, precancerous)
2.Differentiated type.....(non HPV related, e.g lichen sclerosis, precancerous) |
